Beneath the Cliffs
I have been trying harder this year to break away from old habits. My natural inclination on a visit to the beach is to take photographs looking out to sea with the tideline and waves in the foreground and the sky in the background. Today on the beach near Wembury in South Devon I decided to concentrate more on the detail, patterns and form of some of the rocks beneath the low, red cliffs. I particularly liked this one because of it's smooth, rounded form, and the contrast with the pebbles and the rough reed-like grass behind. For me there is always a thrill in finding something interesting in the ordinary.
