A Crookit Door

A cold day, raining first thing. Some fine sunny spells at times, some more showers, and some snow this evening (thankfully not settling).

Up early, and an early shift in the airport.  A mixed day of working on the check-in desk, and also meeting and boarding flights.  Some big delays from Edinburgh today.  I popped down to mam's after tea, and we worked through some online applications.  Headed for a walk, and then bro Jonny, sis Laura and niece Elise came by mam's for a cuppa.  Early night again tonight.

As we headed out for a walk, we passed by this old crooked doorway.  Once the home of Meggie Smith, the Queen of Aith, sadly now a ruin.  As bairns we often played in here, and I do remember parts of the taekit (thatched) roof still on it.  Now with the weight and the crumbling stones, it's starting to sag, and ready to topple.  Taken at Aith, Cunningsburgh.
