Giant Topiary

In the private gardens of the 'Big House' there are huge, sculptured, topiary, yew hedges with great balls atop. Beyond, guarding the gateway to the walled kitchen gardens are this pair, standing about 10ft high.

I had access to the gardens today as I have been looking after the dog. I love the comedic element these introduce to the otherwise very formal gardens.

Unfortunately their 'Pedigree Chum' is not impressed by my 'Bit of Rough', so I am not able to walk them together.

Wasn't the weather glorious today? I was warm for the first time this year!
