The Weekend
Yesterday Andy left very early to play golf, so Merlin and I shared a walk in the morning sunshine. A cold northerly wind blew but it was invigorating and a joy to be outside with my boy, the fresh green shoots of spring on the willows and hawthorn. I stopped to treasure the moment, before the rush of spring unfolds the leaves and brings life rushing forward at such a pace. I like this time of anticipation as spring arrives slowly giving me time to appreciate it more fully.
Once home I cleaned, washed and baked. Andy returned in the early afternoon giving me time to visit a local pottery sale raising funds for various charities and appeals. I bought a little pot for flowers to put in my massage treatment room. I took the opportunity to pop to the allotment and pick rhubarb - for crumble, jam and chutney - all now made - the former by Andy and now consumed, and the latter two made by myself and maturing in the cupboard.
[back blipped Monday].
