It's nice to be negative
Especially when you know that if it wasn't negative, they wouldn't let you fly on the trip you've been waiting for over two years!
Started in 2019 with the planning, booking and paying. Got the tickets and booking confirmations 4 days before President Trump stopped the travel to U.S.A.! That, of course, was March 2020. 2021 the ban was still in place so postponed again.
2022, and I'm on my way but not without a negative Covid test, proof of vaccination, ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation) which is a visa waiver for the United States,
Good news is that the U.K. has lifted all travel restrictions so I don't have to go through the nightmare that happened when I was coming back from Cyprus last August.
I'll try to blip each day but, on the telephone app, I cant do extra's, and editing is not easy, or possible, so I'll have to check it before I submit it.
I think this is going to be great fun, it's just the long bit at the beginning and end! Daniel is coming for me at 0200 and I get the coach at 0230, Heathrow at 0520 and departure is 0745 (AA99). It's is almost a 9 hour flight and so I get into Chicago at 10:30! Time difference is worse coming back, I know that because I've done it twice before.
7 weeks in Santa Clara (Silicon Valley, 40 miles south of San Francisco), and a week in Richardson County, Dallas. It's been a good life :-)
