Down the Pub
Began to feel slightly better today and improved enough to go out with Kevin and Leyna in search of a garden centre so L can put some plants on the balcony at K's. Unfortunately it was getting late - ie after 4 pm and as places began to shut up shop we couldn't find a coffee shop to sit down in while they plant shopped! As LV stated in his blip, not used to places closing so early. We have some very regular customers who can only get by very early or later after they finish work. We ended up in Nettleham, a quaint little village where I had a haircut last time we were here. The alternative here is the Pub - always a got to when the rest close down, though the coffee is usually not quite up to scratch, especially when you don't want to drink alcohol. Anyway, it was a very pleasant experience, so much so that we changed our plans on the fly and decided to stay for the Greek menu that was on offer. Once home, I managed to unpack and assemble one of our folding bikes - we have decided, with 10 days in the Netherlands, that having the ability to cycle will be such a great way to get around. When I lived there back in the day, I actually cycled in a 120km loop round the countryside on their dedicated cycle paths and because there are no hills, it was and should be a very pleasant experience and provide some much needed exercise.
If you look closely, apart from the voyeuristic photo of K, you can also see the blue reflection of L in the window.
