Church On The Col - Church on Sunday #11

Sunday....and it was back to my theme for Church on Sunday.  With the weather bright and sunny, and using  Google search which helps, I spotted this church which I felt was not too far to drive. St Swithin's sits at the centre of the col which gives Ganarew its name (from old Welsh: Genau rhiw translates as ‘Pass of the hill – situated between two hills’). The current church building was built in place of a very much older church which had “become much dilapidated” and demolished in 1848.
