Postcard

………………from todays U3A walk at Cocklawburn beach. It was only me and the organiser today and the walk was curtailed early when the wet weather arrived with a vengeance. It was dry again when I arrived home so I headed around the prom whilst the going was good so have added 3.5 miles to my total…now standing at 22.5 miles.

My blip shows a very intact pillbox, it’s view down the coast towards Lindisfarne and Bamburgh Castle, recently added internal decor and a trio of lime kilns. I’m not sure if the steel girder is original or has been added at a later date.
