Common pond skaters (Gerris lacustris) Mating

Went to Chambers farm wood today, did wonder how I would get on as the last time it was so overgrown, pleased to say I managed 2 walks one with walker and shorter one without walker, there has been a lot of work done by the forestry commission  cutting back  over grown areas .
Beetle taken in the large toad pond in the middle of the wood, the pond skaters were in the Butterfly garden pond .
