Lemon Tree, Oh So Pretty

When your husband buys you a Star Baker apron, you really have to use it.

My Simple Things Magazine this month is full of cake recipes.

I have aborted one of the recipes.  Pistachio and Coffee Pinwheels.    It mattered not how I rolled or pressed it.  They all came out like brandy snap material.  Flat, bubbly and crispy.   Very nice but not soft biscuits, and I do know not what I did wrong.  I always follow a recipe the first time.

(I may miss lines, and add beef where I'm not supposed to, but I do read).

I then made a Lady Grey Tea Cake.

Like a lemon drizzle, but made with warm milk bathed in Lady Grey Tea Bags.   It was a bit Tea -Coloured, (and Earl /Lady Grey Coloured), so you can imagine how unappetizing that was.

Tonight.

I made Lemon Curd.

I am ever so proud of this.  It's lemon. It's tangy it's clean.  And it only took 20 minutes.

The lemon curd is for the inside of other cakes I still have to bake, but that will have to be another day. I don't have enough eggs.
