Locust Flowers

This particular variety of locust loves Albuquerque. I fight a constant war with the big tree next door as to whether it is allowed to have my yard to itself. In the end I have allowed two shoots to grow into trees. These are the flowers on one. There are median strips in town that have totally been taken over by this tree. In any case, even though it is thorny and invasive, it does have pretty flowers.

I give thanks today for the day I was given, clean water, strawberries, vanilla yogurt, babies ans supportive co-workers.
