Calendula Ointment
I met a friend for lunch and then late in the afternoon I met a different friend and my daughter for tea. A very sociable day.
In between I did some grocery shopping and at home finished making some Calendula (Marigold) ointment which is the picture.
It’s made from soaking marigold flowers in a base oil for several weeks in a container on the window sill in the sunshine (hmmm)!
The mixture is strained and warmed slightly with beeswax added. I also add essential oils to give it a lovely aroma. When poured into pots it’s left to set. It’s great for healing skin problems, abrasions and warts. It’s the beeswax that sets it.
