Timber!

It was even more exciting than usual today as the wind got up quite a lot as  they were working on the two tallest trees. This meant diverting to dropping chunks of tree in next door's garden after the top of the left hand tree wanted to go the wrong way. It was all under control and a quick call to our neighbours confirmed that they were safely away on holiday and not about to rush out to the garden and get squashed. Their trees were felled recently so there was a nice big empty space to work in.
The photo shows what was left after quite a lot had come down. They really were VERY tall trees. Now we are going to have lots of lovely firewood.
