Day 4 of blackbird chicks.

I didn't take a picture yesterday as I couldn't catch her off the nest. I am pleased to see that the male blackbird is doing his bit to feed the chicks and he is being very supportive.  Occasionally sitting on the nest when it was very cold. Last year she reared some chicks on her own and I think she did the same the year before. I could check by looking at my photos for that time. One set of chicks were fathered by a spotty male so he was easy to recognise.  The male at the moment is shy and all black. 
Incidentally if you press the one year ago button there are chicks just a couple of days older than these.
