One of those days which had a combination of rain, wind and sun.  I was up early and ready to go when it rained.  However, within an hour it had changed, the sun had come out so off I went to see what I could find.  Here are layers of fungi growing out of a hole in a tree trunk.  The top of the tree had snapped off in a gale and left the base pointing to the sky.  Most was covered with moss but the top had many holes from woodpeckers searching for food.  This wasn't the only part of the remaining trunk which had fungi growing from it, but if you use imagination you may see a head covered with a green camouflage hood.
