Straight out to sea...

...for WidWed today...
The wind was pretty wild again, so I'm tagging it for WildWed too ;)
I seem to be on a mono roll...

The North pier guarding the Tyne, and the South one in the distance. Both piers shut because of the strong winds today, but we had another lovely walk along the prom towards Cullercoats.

We walked half as far as we thought we wanted to go, then turned round to get back in time to catch The Gibraltar Rock at 12 - so we could have a carvery lunch before heading home. 

Almost made it and had a cuppa in mind when the traffic came to a halt - a police incident caused the M1 to be shut in both directions between J41 and J40. An awkward detour through Wakefield added a bit to our journey time, but we're home sns ;)
