A History ......

Some blippers will be familiar with the BBC radio series 'A History of the World in 100 Objects'. I was thinking of starting a photography project along similar lines but closer to home - a history of a family in, at this stage, an unknown number of objects. If I were to do that then this would probably appear. I suspect that its the oldest object that we have, a 17th century document written on both sides of the parchment with a wax seal. I'm guessing that its a legal or ecclesiastical document of some kind.  I'm assuming its written in Latin but it is very difficult to decipher. Any suggestions welcome!
