Death of an Orchid (Day 2526)
The weather has been fairly horrific all day, and the drive out to S&C's was pretty grim. Once there, I got on with the last few connections and had all the water on and the new hot water cylinder filled up by lunchtime. I am fairly pleased with the way it has all gone, and the new tool has been worth its weight in gold.
From S&C's I zoomed along to another job in Rendall, a fairly straightforward kitchen tap change. The customer asked me if I would give him a quote for re-sealing his shower while I was there. The more I looked, the more problems I noticed with the original installation. I gave up looking when I noticed that the shower tray was cracked. It all needs to be ripped out and started from scratch.
From there I headed for town and changed another set of kitchen taps, which took far longer than it should have done.
An evening on the couch with my beautiful wife seems like a remarkably good plan.
If you are interested, there is a pic of the cylinder install here
