Alice in Wonderland

The main idea behind the photo is to bring up the idea that the world we live in is simply not the wonderland we expect it to be. It demonstrates a loss of innocence and youth, when introduced to the harsh realities of society today. The black and white demonstrates the denial and naivety of this young woman names Alice. The fact that the vegetables, gas and pesticides are all coloured, paints an idealistic perception of our "wonderland." In the Book "A Long Way Gone", Ishmael had gone to a different village to meet
his friends in order to perform a rap, however his awful reality began to set in when the rebels pillaged his village and killed its citizens. He now had to face the reality of the inhumanity within his countrymen.
