Re-strung

A crafty friend has replaced the strings on my dragon marionette which I bought in an antique shop years ago, along with a 'disjointing skeleton' (extra).  They are Pelham puppets of which a wide range of chararacters was formerly made; they were a feature of mid 20th century childhoods.
 My friend was familiar with them - she and her two sisters each had one - but I never did and I think I must have had a lurking desire.

 Old-fashioned toys made of wood and string, those in good condition are collectors' items now but these two look as if they have lived a bit too much to be collected for any but sentimental reasons.
