Windlust - Nistelrode...
Went to Ellen for tea and a chat....
It's a closed foot post mill, originally built in 1532, but relocated in 1898 and 1974. The mill is decorated with eight-pointed stars on the case and on the doors in the substructure. Until the early 50s of the 20th century, the mill grounded, but after that it quickly deteriorated due to a standstill. In 1974 Windlust was moved and carefully restored. There is a grinding couple present; the second has ever been removed.
This mill has a beautiful history... for instance, during the second world war the blades were removed because an emergency airfield was made nearby...The Dutch Mill Database
