Red kite

You will have to trust me that the small object just above the power line is a red kite. We have three that are regularly seen, much to the consternation of other birds. This one had just been mobbed by some seagulls. It then, as they normally do, tracked in a northerly direction up the west side of the North Tyne river. I noticed some rabbits in the field between me and the trees and they may have been of some interest to it had I not been there. A real treat to see such a fabulous bird.
