‘Pied Beauty’…

all was black and white with fresh snow at the Wolfs Castle, including the birds, Pied Wagtails and Oystercatchers! However, as the poem comments in the second verse, ‘whatever is fickle’ and the weather showed that as all had melted by lunchtime except on the tops.
