So thrilled!!

We just arrived at "the other house" and I thought I'd better grab a pic of a flower for FF, as you do. Then I was thrilled to have this Western Spinebill rock up to feed on the grevillea outside our bedroom. I often hear these tiny birds because their wings make a thrumming noise when they fly, but they are rather elusive and super fast. This little one was very relaxed.
 Of course, wrong lens etc but it allowed me to get pretty close. Lucky :-))

And now, it's raining!!! Hooray!! The brown grass may just turn green if we are lucky. Weird country - over east they are flooding and here we are parched.
