Peregrine Falcon

Not the best photo I've taken, but one of the most thrilling. I watched the falcon surveying the Tyne again, from her perch on the QEII Metro bridge, for some time. Then without warning, she took off and flew upstream. It was amazing seeing this fabulous raptor flying against a backdrop of office blocks and hotels.

As if this wasn't excitement enough, a shot of the nest box, on the King Edward VII bridge seems to suggest the male is taking his turn sitting on eggs!
