Having been bored inside the living room while birds studiously avoided the bird feeder I went into the garden to look for toads and newts. However, while digging about behind the hedge the birds decided to go to the feeder after all.By perching on the compost heap inhaling Leylandii I could get a good view across. On looking back at the house I could see which bits of the living room will be best to hide in for future bird stalking..
I was delighted to see a blue tit sussing out the nest box on the wall. The roof is a bit holey but they looked pretty interested. Must fix for next year after this years brood leave.
