Shenzhen: Problem Solved

As exciting as it was being able to press a button and have a little colour screen come to life to show us who was at the entrance to the building 18 floors below, having the device repeatedly come to life of its own accord at 11pm, 2am, 4am and 5am on a 'school night' (I assure you, they have chosen that perfect 'Whitney Houston' note which does wake you up, even from the other end of the apartment) resulted in a classic Kiwi reaction - "Pass me the screwdriver, luv, this one's off the wall!" Dad would be proud.

Of course now the Management Office is trying desperately to contact us to have it fixed. Keep in mind they took the very device I'm holding away for 3 months to fix it and replaced it with one that was fine. On Friday night they arrived to reconnect the original faulty one which is now... faulty!
