Refracted

Nipped down to Stockbridge this morning, felt more like January than April, should’ve worn a beanie! Another shop has bitten the dust; the last one was Rollos restaurant, today it was the designer watch shop. I guess folk are tightening the purses strings. I just read that the local Pizza Express is toast too - not closing but being replaced by another pizza place. That seems strange as it’s always pretty busy but whoever’s taking over has the best location around.
I was heading towards The Tiq to book a table for later. Needn’t have bothered as it wasn’t that busy but it’s a weird place, sometimes empty and sometimes full to the gunnels, so best not to take a chance. Six of us turned up, a full house these days, and enjoyed some good chat, a few pints and a couple of quizzes before JacktheLad headed off to catch an early bus. He’s still in recovery mode!
