Nutshell Bridge Paddleboarders
We took a walk along the Stroudwater this morning, about eight or nine miles of level saunter from Eastington to into Stroud and back, with a needful coffee break in the town.
The Nutshell Bridge was built around the same time America was winning its independence from Britain, and is Grade II listed. The Stroudwater Navigation runs from Stroud to the River Severn eight miles away and has twelve locks, the water level rising some thirty one metres.
These paddle boarders were having a lovely time, although at one point they realised 'there may be trouble ahead', and their headroom was more limited than might have been expected... (extra)
