Sad birthday?

I wasn't allowed to post a picture of the Birthday Boy, as he'd taken the day off (a bit odd, as he only usually goes as far as the dining room to work anyway!) and was still in his pyjamas when I got home but at least I managed a shot of the cake our daughter made. 

This is definitely the most subdued birthdays my husband has ever had, so many awful things happening in the world and none of us feel like celebrating. Absolutely horrified at the news of the massacre in Bucha and the missile attack on Krematorsk train station... well, I've just no words. The fact that so many countries are still refusing to condemn Russia is almost beyond belief.
