give me blood

today there was a blood donation camp at work. before today, I had never donated blood in life. But thought of giving it a try today. Was a bit nervous about it. What if they are not able to find the vein? What if they start puncturing my body all over? What if they take out too much blood and I collapse right there? Allaying all the fears I went there and lay down on the bed. I tried my best not to look at my arm while the medic was inserting the needle in my vein. I felt a mild pain but after that it was pretty much a smooth ride. Within minutes it was all over. At the end of it when I looked at the needle, I was surprised to see how thick it was! Anyway, all went well.
