Before the event

Stonehouse Lawn Tennis Club hosted an event for Ukrainian refugees today! Afternoon tea with raffle and sweepstake for the grand national! It was an event to raise awareness of the work that needs to be done for the refugees over an extended period of time and asking people to sign up to help in whatever way they could!

I was serving the tea from 2.30 to 4.00 and there were between 190 to 120 people who came which was very heart warming for Joanna who organised it all! The success will show in the future when the refugees have been here for some time !

Tea or coffee and cake is always a winner especially when the cakes are homemade and delicious and at the end of the afternoon they were all gone!
