Cookery course

Gulli went to a water park with our friends and Zebedee and I did a Balinese cooking course, Max came along for the ride and the food!
Early breakfast and then off to the market to buy ingredients with the chef, fascinating process which Zebedee loved.
Back at our villa the 3 Kadeks (Kadek means second child) cooked an amazing 6 dish meal with us, Z filleted the grouper, prepared the prawns and squid, wrapped fish in banana leaves and made sambal and Bumbu the 2 staple sauces, we also made a beef rendang, the cooking took about 3 hours after which they cleared up all the mess and set our table with a white linen cloth and we had a delicious feast!

After a siesta we shot some video with Sam and Jack over some cocktails for a new video for a song of mine and then went over to GWK culture park to look at the massive statues and watch a traditional show.

Then over to Rachael and Kevin's for a farewell drink. It's been wonderful spending this week with them, they are such a lovely family.

Z has a nasty insect bite on his leg which has blistered and Gulli has a very sore ear, probably due to swimming so much. We fly home tomorrow, it's been an amazing holiday but it's time to go home now.....
