The Starlings

No, not the group nor even the TV series but the original feathery creatures. They have recently discovered our feeders and boy do they make a racket! Gregarious, yes; argumentative, certainly and noisy - very!
A few years ago, I witnessed a sparrowhawk bushwhack a starling and did that wee critter raise a ruckus? So much so that the hawk didn't hear me until I shouted at it. The sparrowhawk then took off in fright and dropped the lucky starling.
We had a very busy day catching up with some household tasks, spreading weed 'n' feed on the lawn grass and washing the car but now the rain has started. well, I do need it for the grass so I can't complain.
