Spot the tourists...

A super mega hectic day all round today, but constantly enjoyable!

The 3am bedtime last night wasn't the greatest of ideas upon waking early this morning, but it seemed a good idea at the time! Today's plan was to shop and wander and then tomorrows was to sightsee. So, obviously, the first shops we hunted down were the 2nd hand boutiques and vintage emporiums. The area a few were located in was great at seeing the 'real' Barcelona and not just the touristy bits. Some really beautiful architecture surrounded us and seemed the norm for the average Barca resident.

We then meandered into the more touristy bits of Las Ramblas and the port and the Gothic quarter. It has been such a gorgeous day, weather wise, which obviously helped, and some of the tapas we tried was absolutely scrumptious.

We both earmarked an early ish might tonight as we had another busy day planned tomorrow, but those pesky Irish hoodwinked us into there bar with the promise of a free shot. We talked ourself round into a super quick 'nightcap' and rolled out of there 2 hours later...

All in all it's been a truly great day. Lots and lots of walking, an array of tasty delights, beautiful weather and a barrel of laughs.
