Day 2
Bardon is a super little hamlet and the Inn is a 17th Centruary coaching inn with massses of character (and a good chef).
I couldn't believe how many barrels were delivered at the crack of dawn because the bar is tiny and the place doesn't really get passing trade.
We drove down to Morecambe as neither of us had been there before and we thought we would have a look at the bay.
We could see almost nothing for the driving rain.
It was good to see that they obviously clean the beach.
The patterns on the promenade are nice and there are statues of birds everywhere.
They are worth visiting the place for if nothing else (and we didn't find anything else woth visiting for - apart from the statue of Eric and the quotes set in the pavement).
We stopped off at Carnforth so that we could see the clock made famous in "Brief Encounter".
They have a nice wee museum there with some old luggage lying around.
Loved the street name I came across later in the day
