Church On Sunday #12

Sunday...and we were having frineds around for a birthday Sunday dinner, so before they came, I decided to drive out to a church near Cinderford which I had been wanting to photograph for many years, but somehow, just never got around to it.  From a distance, it looked ideal for some photograhs, but I was really diappointed when I actually parked up.  

There was only one gate that allowed visitors into the graveyard, but no gates unlocked for the actaul church.  Even if there had been, there  was a 7 foot wall all around and not enough room to get all of the church in the frame.  So although the graveyard allowed a better viewing distance from the church, the height of the wall was still a problem, so the only thing I could do was to hold my arms up and hope for the best, but still could not avoid the top of tyhe wall in the bottom of the frame.

And then it was time to get back to welcome our friends - we had a wonderful dinner and it was good to catch up following their return from Australia.
