This little pig
Out with the minky in her farmers outfit to Craigie Farm to see the baa lambs. And baby pigs and a horse. Oh, and some rabbits. And much rampaging in the play area. I had to go home and lie down afterwards.
But not for long as there was a game of football to attend. The final derby* of the season, and without doubt the best. Hibs were in our faces from the off, upsetting the Hearts defence and with five minutes were one nil up thanks to a jacksy shot past our unsighted keeper. Half an hour in, I just thought, this is agony. Why do I pay good money to put myself through this? But the signs of a revival were there - that Hibs energy was soon all spent and it was all they had. We nicked the equaliser before half time and then strolled the send half, two-one, three-one. It should have been more. Hibs, Hibs are falling apart again, we sang to Joy Division’s Love will tear us apart. We’re an educated crowd. What a laugh. What a buzz. Into the DigDogs we pressed. Bring on the Hi-bees!**
* sadly Hibernian FC have failed to finish in the top six
** Gulp. I’ll still be cacking myself come next Saturday. Just not as much as they will.
