Christian's Bench

We spent the morning in Hitchin with my brother and sister-in-law. They lived here for many years but now live in Mallorca. 4 years ago we tragically lost their son, our nephew, in an accident in the town. A young life cut short but his cheeky smile, quirky sense of humour and creativity live on in our memories. This is the first time R and I have been back since the funeral. We visited his memorial bench (in a place he used to spend time with his friends) and the church and wandered around the historic town. I ve switched off comments for today as I just wanted to record our visit on my journal and as, I m sure you understand, no words can express our continued sense of loss.
