Anniversary

Today was our anniversary and I had bought this cake to celebrate.  I decided to put appropriate candles on the top!  We all declared it to be one of the best cakes we had eaten.  

We spent this afternoon doing a jigsaw that was one of hubby’s Christmas presents.  It’s a 1000 piece, so will take a few days I should think.

Two big men arrived this morning to replace the fence of our neighbours at the end of the garden.  They seemed to spend most of the time considering and talking - after sitting down straight away for a cup of coffee.  One was vaping nearly the whole time they were ‘working’ - everything about them said ‘lazy’.  They shouted to my husband when he was out at the bins to ask him whether he minded if there was no fence at the end of the garden tonight and he said he didn’t.  Anyway, the old fence is still there and all they did was to replace one panel.  They both disappeared soon after 2pm.  It will be interesting to see whether they return tomorrow.  My theory was that they might have been sacked!  Anyway, it’s been very entertaining - and may continue to be so…
