You can thank MrsP for the name :) • It’s been about a week since this woodchuck has been visiting the yard, mostly to raid ground feeders or scavenge under the hanging feeders. The lawn is just beginning to green and the dandelions aren’t up yet, but sunflower seeds and nuts would still be his preference. I’m hoping these food offerings will keep him away from the perennials when they come up. He and the deer love black-eyed susans and echinacea, among others. You may know that I have a love-hate relationship with this one, but he’s cute and needs to eat. Babies will be coming soon too • I ordered a utility cart for the riding lawnmower today. We’ve been talking about getting one and decided this is the year to do it. The cart will be used to move bags of dirt, manure, and other heavy items from the driveway to the garden in the backyard.
