Tape welded

Monday-night-wrenching-night, I finally was able to finish prepping all the parts that made up the rather complex shortening process of the original length but stainless steel set of exhausts. It’s now on the bike (extra) held in place by tape and will be welded by one of the pro welders in the wrenching club later this month.

Shortening a tapered tube isn’t too hard in itself, but correcting the diameter of the end cap whilst still keeping its shape and also lining up with the shortened muffler internals is quite a job which took me way longer than expected.
