Girl and her buddies

Very happy Katie today. Two of their pieces involve the contrabassoon (Google it, its a beauty) and Katie is being given the opportunity to perform on it for one of them in the concert this weekend. She's delighted, she loves the contra and this will be her first time in a concert on it. She's also first bassoon for the hardest of the pieces. They're all changing round parts (and instruments) through the concert so everyone gets opportunities and she's very happy with the amazing opportunities she's getting.
