or chaenomeles.  I bought this plant when we moved into our house - 40 years ago this month.  It's been moved and nearly killed off a couple of times, but it seems to have settled into its current spot, judging by the number of flowers on it.  My Extra is of the daffodils that were almost flattened  by the bad weather - amazing recovery!
