Home Again!

We had a really heavy rainstorm at the coast last night....pouring, wind driven rain, with gale warnings. We woke up to find that the rain had stopped (for the time being) and that it was SNOWING in Portland! Some areas on the eastern side of the city got 4 or 5 inches of heavy wet snow. Lots of felled branches and trees - in fact, one of the major highways into the city was closed due to multiple fall trees. We went through a bit of snow and hail on the way home, but by the time we reached home, any snow that had fallen in our neighborhood was melted. But it was cold and showery much of the day. 

I was worried about the tulips in the garden, but mostly they seemed just fine (as evidenced by my blip!). Some were a bit sideways, but on the whole the garden seemed just fine. 

We're in for a week of cold rain - no golf this week!
