Lesser Scaup

I noticed some unusual birds on the water while walking in the park, and they turned out to be a pair of Lesser Scaup ducks (Aythya affinis), a species I have never seen before. They were far from shore, but I did manage to get this image to help me identify them. Hopefully, I will have another opportunity to photograph them in the future.
