Beside the River this Morning

Maisie and I were out walking just after 6.am. It was dark. I wore my head lamp and Maisie wore her illuminated collar with red flashing lights until daylight intervened. Lots of walkers out and about. I counted 20 happy dogs. A fine day here in Marlborough. It is worrying to hear of wild, windy wet weather heading from the north and forecast to hit vulnerable areas of the North Island. Areas that have endured devastating weather only three weeks ago. I hope the forecasts are wrong and that the weather is kinder. Goodness knows those places have endured more than enough horrendous weather effects.
