Thank you South Staffs District Council for planting more trees. Every single one helps. 

Walking the dog, taking the air, around the Twentyman Playing Fields at Bilbrook, Staffordshire.

There are more new trees planted along the road side hedge, and when they have matured there will be a delectable avenue of blossom bearing Flowering Cherry trees.

I love it. 

Hollie did a plop near to the waste bin, such a considerate little dog.

I witnessed a German Shepherd doing one as well. He didn't seem at all embarrassed. Didn't even have a dog with him...

Back home for a thrilling afternoon of chat with our friend W, who I have reported on before. A sad case, so terribly disturbed. It seems at this stage she is resistant to all offers of help, has convinced herself no one cares and that no amount of medical help or counselling will help and that she will never get better. 

Ostracized by her own family and committed to drowning her sorrows in the bottle, she is causing us continued concern.

I have got her to agree to continue the counselling as I feel this is important. We are working to try to get her to cut back on the booze, with little hope that it will work. It is, she says, her only pleasure in life. What a chronic and desperate state to get into.

But we won't give up on her. If we did, heaven only knows what the next step might be.. More later.
