Sad tale….

The young Roe buck is lying in the field today, showing no interest in anything. Think he is the one year old, recently abandoned by his mother as she produces this year’s twins. He does not appear to have any injuries and hopefully may recover. Will keep an eye on him.
To cheer me up put the male Blackbird in the extra. He sits singing from early morning to late evening in my hedge, where his mate is sitting on the nest.
