PRIDE of MADEIRA

This plant is native to Madeira, an island off the coast of Portugal, so it is a long way from home. It does well in our dry, sun parched terrain, & is lovely in bloom.

The hills & mountainsides, in the background, are starting to fade &
lose their vibrant color. Soon they will
be tinder dry.

We saw a coyote this morning,
while walking. It was running across the street from us, then it crossed to the arroyo on our side. Rocky & Angus went ballistic, barking. The young coyote was on a mission, so we were in no danger.
